It was with very mixed emotions that I found it time to consider leaving my lovely studio and family at Arc after a wonderful, memorable, and nurturing 9 years. I adored the space with it’s great light, pretty floors, my “Evita” perch over the staircase to the second floor. Our gritty block in SOMA. The great coffeeshop, Vega, downstairs. Even more, I loved the community of artists there and the responsive, supportive, smart and engaged management of Mike Yochum, Priscilla Otani, Stephen Wagner, and Matthew Frederick.
Goodbye Arc. I’ll be visiting.
But a new adventure beckoned. I’ll be at one of my favorite artist buildings in San Francisco—packed with some of the best artists in the city—and sharing space with two of my favorite people: painters Saundra McPherson and Leslie Morgan.
We’re in the final stages of getting our 1200 square foot, sunny, skylit studio ready for Spring Open Studios, laying in track lighting, constructing storage, locating nearby caffeine sources.
Hello, 1890 Bryant!
